The Electric Fuelling Station of the Future

HONOURABLE MENTION: VIM

ZERNO | Krasnoyarsk, Russia

A spiral is often used to symbolize time, and VIM is designed to make better use of a traveller’s time than simply scrolling through another feed while their vehicle recharges. The station turns around a courtyard and shelters EV charging stations underneath, maximizing space.

The most popular and noisy areas are located at the entrance, including the reception area, café and children’s playroom. Onwards, these are replaced by quieter zones, including a library to catch up on work and a lounge with panoramic views.

The spiral structure is comprised of modular zones that can serve different functions, from a café to a library.
